The easiest way to avoid rework is to treat fitting as a separate step: confirm size, spacing, alignment, and cable routing before drilling or final mounting. This is especially important for backlit/halo yacht signs, where spacing impacts the glow.
A Simple Fitting Checklist
- Mark a centerline and reference points on the transom
- Dry-fit with a template (paper/film) for spacing and level
- Check readability from multiple angles and distances
- Plan cable routing before final placement
Cable Routing & Power Planning
